Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit was an Indian actress who is well-known for her performances in the movies 'Beta' "Saajan" and "Hum Aapke Hain Koun' . Her career began in the early 1980s. She became famous due to her part as a supporting actress in the movie Tezaab. In the movie 'Dil she was a part of the cast with Aamir Khan. Born to a middle-class household in Mumbai the city, she began to study dancing at a very young age. At the age of a teenager she attempted acting but was unsuccessful for several years. She was successful, and soon went on to become a leading actor in the Indian film industry. After her wedding she took a few months off from acting and then returned to the entertainment field. In the past, she had an integral part of the movie "Gulaab Gang" that was about the triumphs and struggles of women from India. Dixit has been nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards were hers. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award in India). She is also famous for her charitable work.
