Salma Hayek was a big success in Hollywood when she landed the role in Robert Rodriguez's Desperado. Then, her Oscar nominated role in Frida took her to the top of Hollywood. Salma Hayek Jimenez, daughter of Spanish and Lebanese parents, was born in Mexico on September 2, 1996, at Coatzacoalcos.
