Awkwafina is an American performer and actor who made her name with smart raps that addressed sexuality and racial identities with an edgy, comical perspective. She then expanded into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies, and then majored both in women's study as well as journalism. For a brief period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. After graduating, it wasn't until when she decided to turn her attention on music. My Vag, her track My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a popular viral sensation across the Internet and eventually appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits including body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC Bitche$1. The final track was closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was released in the year 2015. Alongside being a published author and a singer, she was also a professional as a performer. In addition to early series, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 with a few notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
