Her parents both passed away in their 50's-her mother suffering from the effects of arthritis and her father from a heart attack--she knew she needed to take charge over her own health, so that the same fate did befall her. The focus was not on dieting but about health and discovering a lifestyle that maximized the way our bodies were meant to function.
